**Hurricane Helene Update: Abrams Falls Cabin Open for Guests**
We are happy to announce that despite the passage of Hurricane Helene through upstate, Abrams Falls Cabin has not suffered any damage.
The property remains safe, fully operational, and open to welcome guests as planned.
We look forward to hosting visitors in the serene surroundings of our cabin, ensuring a comfortable and worry-free stay.

What are the 2-Bedroom cabin and 3-Bedroom cabin choice?The cabin has 3-bedrooms. You can rent the cabin with 2-Bedrooms (Sleeps 4-6) or with 3-Bedrooms (Sleeps 6-8). Two bedrooms are in the upstairs and one bedroom is in Downstairs. Upstairs and downstairs have separate entrances. If your group is 4 or less, you are reserving the upstairs 2-bedrooms only. If your group gets larger prior to arrival, you can add the downstairs bedroom later for a small fee. There is no connection to the downstairs from upstairs. We have a wrap-around boardwalk from Downstairs to the upstairs. For the privacy of our guests, we do not rent the downstairs separately. You will be the only guests on the property during your reservation.

What is the Cabin Layout?The upstairs has 2-bedrooms with attached bathrooms, Full kitchen, living, dining and laundry room. The bedroom #1 has a queen size bed. Bedroom #2 has two twin size beds. The living room has two couches. The kitchen is fully equipped. We also offer two airbeds for our guests. The downstairs has 1-bedroom with a queen size bed and an attached bathroom, mini refrigerator and a coffee maker.

How many can accomodate in the cabn?The 3-Bedrooms cabin can comfortably sleep 6. With the airbeds 8/10. The 2-Bedrooms can comfortably sleep 4, with the airbeds 6/8.

What is included in the rental?We provide one set of bed linen and towels. Also, we provide a start-up kit of toilet paper, paper towels, and hand soap. The kitchen has cutlery, tableware, a regular 10-cup coffee maker with a permanent filter. range with an oven, a refrigerator with an ice maker. We do not provide kitchen condiments. Additionally, the cabin has a full-size washing machine and a dryer. We do not provide laundry detergent.

Will someone meet us upon arrival?Abrams Falls Cabin is a remotely managed property. The property owner orthe manager does not live on site. No one will meet you at the cabin upon your arrival. However, we do have a local team and a housekeeper that maintains the property and for any assistance. The property is equipped and monitored by advanced automated controls, sensors, an outdoor CCTV system, and a keyless entry system.

How steep is the driveway? Can I drive all the way up to the cabin? Parking?The private driveway to the cabin is a two-strip concrete driveway (aka a ribbon driveway), It has a grade of 17% and a flat switchback in the middle. It was designed to accommodate two-wheeled drive vehicles and motorcycles. There is parking for 4-5 cars near the cabin. During the Winter when there is snow & ice, Abrams Falls Cabin is a Winter Wonderland. But when there are snow and ice on the ground, the driveway up to the cabin could be impassable. in that event, we advise to park at the gate and walk up to the cabin. There is approx. 350 ft of a driveway to walk with 17% grade. There is parking for 5-6 cars at the gate.

What is the cancellation policy? Rules and policies?Reservations may be changed or canceled with full refund up to sixty (60) days prior to the Check-in Date. Between sixty and thirty days before check-in date, any cancellations or changes will forfeit half of the rental fee. Cancellations or changes within 30 days of check-in date will forfeit full rental fee. Bristol NASCAR Race Week and special Holiday Reservations are not eligible for our refund policy thus nonrefundable and non-changeable. Yes, there are rules and policies. You will receive our latest "Rules and Policies" document with your reservation documents.

How far is Abrams Falls? How difficult the hike is?Virginia’s famous Abrams Falls is just a 45-minutes to an hour hike from the cabin. The difficulty level is moderate. Although located on private property, our cabin guests have permission to hike up to the falls. Directions: From the gate turn left on to Abrams Falls Rd (downstream) go about ½ miles to the Cul-De-Sac. The trailhead is at the west end of the cul-de-sac on the left side of the creek. do not cross the concrete bridge and do not block access to the bridge. How far are the grocery stors? Nearest airport? How far is the SpeedwayGroceries, food, and shopping are within 10 miles of the cabin. Most are located between I-81 exit 74 (TN) and I-81 exit 7 (VA) The nearest airport is Tri-Cities Airport (TRI). Approx. A 30-minute drive from the cabin. Bristol Motor Speedway is approx. 15-miles (30-minute drive) from the cabin.

What is the hype about Squatchwatch (Bigfoot) sighting?Animal Planet TV aired the documentary: "Virginia is for Bigfoot Lovers -The Beast of Gumhill". This Bigfoot sighting was on our cabin property.
